+1 for using an array to store the code. I did a digital "lock", actually a key pad to open or close the garage door a few years ago. I built in a "back door" code, hard coded, so that if the eeprom ever got corrupted there was still a (lengthy) secrete access ("back door") code. The normal code is only 4 digits long. (Doesn't matter, there is a much more secure alarm for the house door, inside the garage) Anyway, several years into its use, the neighbor kids hacked the code. It was the last four digits of our phone number, so it wasn't too difficult to figure out. It was, however, easy for the kids to remember at their young age. That was when I was glad I had also included a lengthy code to access a routine to update / replace the code, from the keypad. Made it easy to change the door's code. Oh well, just a few thoughts for you to consider while you work on your project. JC
