BASCOM-AVR : Brownout reset : REPLY

I do like this forum. !! Thanks for your input guys. Six1 - like you I thought it was outside noise, but in the 4 test units I have running, the 1wire sensor is disconnected, and the 4 RS232 devices are unplugged - only 2 wires to the board - the +5 and 0v. I plug the debug serial input in only to read the debug output every few hours then unplug it again. That com port is transmit only so i doubt its a consideration, and i have never had a reset plugging or unplugging the db9. Ian - Yes if I put a 'wait 10' inside my do-loop, rbyte is set to 8 and pushing the reset button gives me a 2. If I unplug the power then power it up again i get a 7 or a 5, so i think that the peek(0) is working correctly. i should include $noramclear perhaps? Evert - I am not familiar with assembler and have never used the sim. Help me here - are you saying there may be a bug with disable jtag in bascom?
