BASCOM-AVR : drive device with MCU and visual studio 2012 : REPLY

The progam I posted will not print anything to a LCD it will communicate via the serial port (RS232) with a PC it is only to test that you can talk to the AVR, what ever you type in a terminal screen will be sent to the AVR then the AVR will send this back(echo) so it is printed to the screen you can use windows hyperterminal to do this. You need both RX and TX connected to the PC when you get this working you will know the hardware is working you can then move on to get your program working as you want it to. When working with serial (RS232) it is good to have both way communication with the PC this lets you send back information to debug your program. Regards Paul
