the files supplied with bascom are just the lbx (compiled lib). So it will work with the demo and full version.
In order to work with AVR-DOS you do not need the license. But if you want to study/alter the source, you need the user license.
If you create a commercial product using AVR-DOS, or if you are a company, you need the company license.
All the money goes to the author of the library. MCS just handles the sales.
Do notice that MCS modified the official lib significant for Xmega and zero based arrays. That is the version included with bascom. This source will be included as well after approval of the author.
