[quote:7c13b3ad5d]For some reason the topic from MHZ strange biniary output is locked, so must start a new one.[/quote:7c13b3ad5d] The reason is simple : the problem was clear and the topic wend off topic. similar questions have been asked/answered before and that is always a good point for me to lock the topic. The simulator might not work the same as the chip but the state of the temp register is undetermined. So it could be just anything. For this chip, it seems to return the last value of the temp hardware register. The problem with simulating this is that it is not described properly by atmel. for example, is this register only used by this timer? or by all timers? Or by other double byte registers? While i could try it out and see , the next question : is that true for all chips? It is not really useful to simulate this. But if i had the proper info i would add it. Now i probably end up with a warning from the sim when the wrong read order is used.
