Hi Mark,
nice to read you. More than 10 years since we sent emails one to each other.
Thank you very much for your so fast answer.
Although I am a Bascom8051 user since 1999 I am a novice with the BascomAVR, I'll look for the advice regarding the Timer Simulation in the help file as I only found:

The simulator supports the basic timer modes. As there are many new chips with new timer modes it is possible that the simulator does not support all modes. When you need to simulate a timer the best option may be to use the latest version of AVR Studio and load the BASCOM Object file.

so I tough it would work with CTC Mode.
Your recommendations about AVR Studio are very appreciated and I would like to know what version is the more adequate to work together with Bascom.
I read somewhere that the latest version, Atmel Studio, doesn't include the ATMega128, so I still have to choose between AVR Studio 4 and AVR Studio 5. Any suggestion?
Now that I know that nothing looks strange in my code, I'll do what I should have done since the beginning: Run the code in real hardware.
If I continue to work with the AVR chips maybe it worths to purchase a hardware debugger. Any recommendation.
Best regards.
Fran
