Sorry, I didn't sleap two nights, and I'm very tired and very angry: I spend couple of days and nights trying to figure out where I was wrong, just to discover that you decide that device is not important to you since no one ask for it. Well... Bravo ! [quote:6e0dc90a6c]When nobody uses such a function there is not much point in wasting time so when users request the functionality for other hardware, i add it.[/quote:6e0dc90a6c] For a god sake, HOW you know what someone uses and what not ???? Do users send you source code back ? Imagine you paid for software with offered functionality you have to rely on, and later discover that important function is missing because author believe no one will use it or no one ask for it. But it is in manual. What is funny, you pointed me at first answer to read about input config.... [quote:6e0dc90a6c].(xmega supports it on all channels) [/quote:6e0dc90a6c] Why???? How's that now ??? How you decide what device and which processor is important for users ???? xmega have 8 UARTS. I really like to know how you decide that COM2-COM8 processors on xmega are more important then NO ANY ONE COM2-COM4 on all other ATMEga processors ???? Do you know any one to use ALL 8 uarts on it? And ATmega2560 is much more mature processor then xmega. There also is several AVR processor with more then one UART. Is this ON ALL processor buffered serial INPUT is wrong on COM2 and above ??? I used COM2 to COM4 serial buffered for Modbus RTU and TCP, I also had no single problem, since I didn't use input function. I truly believed this is rock solid. Until now. What else is not functioning in Bascom? How new users can be sure about any function since, according to this experience, it may work or it may not... My current project for T/A terminal depend on this. I use all uarts, and several procedures uses Input already, and every single one not working. So what now Mark ? Will you correct this, please ? [quote:6e0dc90a6c]so when users request the functionality for other hardware, i add it[/quote:6e0dc90a6c] Ok. [b:6e0dc90a6c]I request that you correct falsed Input and Inputbin function on serial buffered communication on COM2 and above, for all processors with more than 2 Uarts. As I remember correctly most popular are: ATMega162, Atmega324, Atmega64, Atmega128, ATmega644, Atmega1280, Atmega2560.[/b:6e0dc90a6c] But, I remember once you note on forum that you will write or add new functionality only when certain numbers of users ask for. Since I believe programs with 2 or more serial are very rare, you will never add this functionality. I truly hope I'm wrong.
