Hi Snow
Yes for a start I just use the sample code - just to get a byte sent .
Latest compiler update .
I use a 90can128 at 16MHz so I need change that in the code and I check portA for input change and not portC for the tx byte , can rx byte into a variable for sending to serialport.
It does not need to be int driven for now - speed is not an issue for testing.
Main thing is to get a byte in / out .
Serial comms and LCD display test code working on same chip so chip seems to be fine
I use the USBTIN Can adaptor from Fischl in Germany - that is working fine - have comms between 2 pc's with them.
Thanks for the help
Cheers
