BASCOM-AVR : Polling DS18B20 for Convert T status : REPLY

Thanks a lot Mark! For this project I will finally use the 50 DS18B20 sensors I bought from you back in 2001 ;) Got the program working now and ordered a nice enclosure for the board. Every 10 seconds or whenever a temperature has changed by .1 or more the 1-wire ID and the temperature are sent over the ethernet and picked up by the Gira Homeserver. Next step is to make it listen to UDP as well so the Homeserver can give commands like perform a search for new 1-wire sensors (when sensors have been removed or added), send info about CRC errors and other stuff. Right now it's doing a 1-wire search automatically every 2 minutes but I found out that for some reason the sensor temperatures can easily change up to .5 degrees after this procedure. Guess the sensor is heating up after a 1-wire search, convert-T and a read scratchpad, all within a few seconds. I don't want those temperature spikes. As adding/removing sensors won't happen anymore after a while I prefer to do this manually when required. Will have a look into that add-on and report back when implemented. Is this advanced driver available as a ready to use pcb? Gr. Eric
