[quote:6ab1886aa3="albertsm"]I could add a range check but it would mean that we need to check all datasheets again to check the range. And it is not sufficient to only check a constant, a passed parameter need to be checked as well. If we had more resources we could add it. But for the price we sell the software it is not possible right now. If there is a volunteer that want to check all data sheets and create a list i am happy to add it. Otherwise it will have a low priority. But on the other hand : what if you use a wrong number. you find out in less than 5 minutes right? For each bug/wish i think about the worse thing that can happen. When we calc 1+3=5, it would mean an immediate service release. When there is a work around we publish a work around. For improvements that do not take much time and help significant, we implement them. But these kind of wishes get little priority. It is good however that you mentioned id. So keep asking for wishes, i really try to implement them when possible. And while not everybody might feel the same about them, the origin of bascom is too make programming processors simple, so if a wish adds to add it is good wish.[/quote:6ab1886aa3] Hi Albert, no need to implement a new feature/range check for the GETADC function. But perhaps the issue could be mentioned in the help-file for the GETADC-function. It took me a bit longer than 5 minutes to find out what was going on :-) I think the only weak point of BASCOM is the help-file and not the compiler in itself, with which I am very, very satisfied. Kind regards Roger
